A black ceramic shaving bowl, handmade and adorned with the Groom logo. Its generous size, raised base and spot to rest the brush make it easy to hold.

Groom, which makes its products in small batches in its Montréal workshop, developed this bowl with ceramist Hugo Didier, for an entirely Quebec production. It works with shaving cream as well as shaving soap.

Materials: handmade ceramic.

How to use: warm the bowl by filling it with hot water. Load the brush with soap or shaving cream, empty the water, then work up the lather by whisking the brush in circular motions in the bowl until you get a dense texture.

Origin: handmade in Quebec, in collaboration with ceramist Hugo Didier.
