Four mini concentrates to make cocktails with clear spirits, or alcohol-free versions. The kit makes 12 to 15 cocktails, and pairings are suggested on the back of the box.
3/4 OZ., a company based in Montréal, brings together an Appletini made with lacto-fermented Quebec apples, tasting of spiced apple pie, to try with a boreal gin or a sparkling wine; a very fresh Smash basilic-menthe, with citrus notes and a gently aniseed finish; a Kimchi Caesar made with vegan kimchi brine and tomato, with a salty, spicy finish; and Amer forestier, created with Sombre et amer, with aromas of conifers and wild roots.
What's inside: four bottles, with their ingredients below.
- Appletini (120 ml): lacto-fermented apple juice (apples, water, honey, sea salt, rye, wheat flour, cinnamon, cardamom, mint, hibiscus flowers), water, cane sugar, citric acid, ginger juice.
- Smash basilic-menthe (120 ml): cane sugar, fennel juice, lime juice, mint juice, basil juice, water, gentian, lemon zest, citric acid, orange blossom, chlorophyll.
- Kimchi Caesar (120 ml): vegan kimchi brine (napa cabbage, carrots, daikon, leeks, onions, chili flakes, sea salt, ginger, garlic, rice flour, cane sugar), tomato paste, tomato juice, lemon juice, chili flakes, horseradish, tamari (gluten-free).
- Amer forestier (5 ml): water, alcohol, spices, sugar.
Format: 3 bottles of 120 ml and 1 bottle of bitters, 5 ml.
Allergens: the Appletini contains rye, wheat and gluten; the Kimchi Caesar contains soy (tamari).
Serving suggestion: in a glass with ice, pour 3/4 oz of Appletini or Smash basilic-menthe and 1.5 oz of spirit, then top with sparkling water. For the Kimchi Caesar, pour 1.5 oz of spirit and 2 to 3 oz of concentrate over ice. The flavours are concentrated, so add a little at a time.
Storage: keep away from light; refrigerate after opening. Use the Appletini within 10 months of opening, and the Smash basilic-menthe and Kimchi Caesar within 8 months.
Origin: company based in Montréal.
Precautions: the Amer forestier contains alcohol.
