A shaving soap for traditional wet shaving with a brush. Its lather lets the blade glide over the skin, softens the beard and cleans the skin at the same time.
Its vegan base combines gentle cleansers, natural emollients and hydrating ingredients such as shea butter and glycerin. A single puck lasts for many shaves, and its solid format slips easily into a carry-on bag.
Henri et Victoria, a company based in Gatineau, in the Outaouais region, makes most of its products by hand in its own workshop and does not test them on animals.
The scents:
- Cognac et cigares cubains: cedarwood, fresh leather, zesty lemon, cognac and spicy tobacco.
- Duc de Santal: sandalwood, spicy nutmeg, tree moss, lemon and patchouli oil.
- Navigateur: an aquatic fragrance; top notes of lemon, ocean and green notes; heart of soft florals, lavender and melon; base of musk, pine and woods.
- Unscented (no fragrance): same formula, without fragrance.
Format: 114 g (4 oz) puck.
Ingredients: potassium stearate, potassium cocoate, water, glycerin, potassium ricinoleate, shea butter, fragrance, except in the unscented version (INCI: Potassium Stearate, Potassium Cocoate, Aqua, Glycerin, Potassium Ricinoleate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Parfum).
How to apply: work the soap into a lather with a brush and water, apply the lather to your face, then shave.
Storage: away from heat and light.
Precautions: for external use only. Avoid the eye area and stop use if irritation occurs.
Origin: company based in Gatineau, in the Outaouais region.
