Hibiscus Chai Herbal Tea
An herbal tea inspired by Indian chai, with a taste of cinnamon and tart berry, made with whole hibiscus flowers spiced with ginger and clove.
This vegan, caffeine-free blend brings together whole flowers and natural, organic or wild ingredients. Les thés FloralTea blends and packs it by hand, in small batches, in Laval. Enjoy it hot or iced, or use it in cooking.
Format: 100% compostable loose-tea tube, 25 g, makes about 25 cups.
Ingredients: organic cinnamon, orange leaf or strawberry leaf (or both), organic hibiscus flower, poppy flower, organic ginger, organic clove. Another version of the recipe contains cinnamon, strawberry leaf, hibiscus flower, ginger and clove, all organic. Contents may vary by batch; check the label on the product you receive.
Allergens: made in a facility that also handles coconut.
Serving suggestion: steep ½ to 1 tsp per cup (150 ml) in water at 100 °C for 5 to 10 minutes, or cold for 12 to 24 hours. Double the amount for an iced version. For a more classic chai taste, add milk and sugar.
Storage: in an airtight container, away from moisture, direct sunlight and heat sources. Best enjoyed within 12 months of purchase.
Origin: blended and packed by hand in Laval.
Precautions: check with your doctor before drinking any herbal tea if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a health condition. Interactions with medications or other herbal products are possible.
