The Bay Area is a tropical paradise in candle form. Creamy coconut milk and soothing benzoin bring to mind warm sand and a turquoise sea, while sandalwood and cedar add a subtle woody depth. Its wooden wick crackles gently as it burns.
Late Afternoons hand-pours it in Montréal, in a natural, biodegradable coconut and soy plant wax designed for a cleaner, more even burn. It contains cedarwood, orange and patchouli essential oils.
Format: 3 oz (about 10 to 15 hours of burn time) or 5 oz (about 30 to 35 hours).
Materials: coconut and soy plant wax, phthalate-free, gluten-free and cruelty-free; FSC-certified wooden wick; jar with a slate blue lid. Recyclable packaging with biodegradable protective materials.
How to use: the first time, let the candle burn until the wax has fully melted to the edges, to avoid tunnelling. After that, burn it for 2 to 3 hours at a time.
Care: before each use, trim the wick to about 3 to 5 mm (1/8 to 3/16 in.). Keep the wick centred and the wax surface clean and free of debris. Stop using the candle when about 6 mm (1/4 in.) of wax remains at the bottom.
Origin: hand-poured in Montréal.
Precautions: never leave a burning candle unattended or lit for more than 4 hours in a row. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
