Strawberries, flowers and moon phases, in cream on black on one side and in black on a pale background on the other: the reversible Ceremony blanket features a design by artist Morningstar (Alanah Jewell), of the Oneida Nation of the Thames, Bear Clan. The artist set out to capture the safety, beauty and connection of Full Moon ceremonies; the berries and water recall what is brought to them, and the symmetry of the design expresses balance.

Large enough to dress a queen-size bed or to use as a throw, it also comes along on family picnics, camping trips and evenings around the fire. MINI TIPI, an Indigenous company based in Gatineau, in the Outaouais, was co-founded by Trisha Pitura, a member of Nipissing First Nation.

Dimensions: 60 x 80 in. (about 152 x 203 cm).

Materials: eco-friendly fabric made of 20% recycled wool, 30% acrylic and 50% recycled polyester; fringed edge. The blend is warm and soft, yet washable.

Care: wash in cold water and hang to dry.

Origin: created by MINI TIPI in Gatineau, Outaouais, from a design by artist Morningstar; fabric woven in Italy.
