Nero is a very bold filter coffee, created for lovers of strong, intense coffee. It is Café Barista's only blend with a dark roast, also known as French roast: the roasting brings out notes of wild berries, smoky oak-aged Scotch and toasted bread.
Founded in Montréal in 2004, Café Barista slow-roasts its coffees using a method inspired by Italian tradition. Nero's profile: intensity 3 out of 3, bitterness 2 out of 3, acidity 2 out of 3.
Format: 500 g bag, whole bean or ground.
Ingredients: 100% coffee, no added ingredients.
Allergens: according to Café Barista, its espresso and filter coffees are raw products with no added food, so they raise no allergen concerns.
Serving suggestion: with a cone dripper (V60), use 20 g of coffee for 320 ml of water; with a French press or a Chemex, 10 to 15 g for 100 to 150 ml of water.
Storage: in a dark, dry place such as a kitchen cupboard. Avoid the fridge and freezer, which are too humid.
Origin: a blend highlighting coffee from Colombia, roasted in Montréal.
