A hot sauce that pairs the sweetness of maple with the smoky character of chipotle. Halfway between a barbecue sauce and a hot sauce, it is both sweet and spicy.
It is made in Montréal by Les Aliments Mi Corazon, a company based in the city since 2015. The maple syrup comes from a small artisanal production at the family sugar bush in Saint-Raymond-de-Portneuf; the chipotle pepper is smoked for several days in the highlands of Oaxaca, Mexico.
Format: 148 ml.
Ingredients: apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, dried peppers (chipotle, ancho, guajillo), fermented peppers (peppers, water, sea salt), black garlic, sea salt, onion powder, cumin, cinnamon, allspice, clove, ground ginger.
Allergens: may contain traces of gluten, soy, tree nuts and mustard.
Serving suggestion: add a few drops to grilled meats, tacos, eggs or sandwiches, or mix it into your marinades to reach the heat level you like.
Storage: refrigerate after opening.
Origin: made in Montréal.
