An eye mask filled with organic pearl barley and a hint of dried lavender, giving off a delicate lavender scent. Lukewarm or at room temperature, it helps you unwind in moments of fatigue or stress, or during meditation; cold, it soothes puffy eyes; warm, it comforts dry or irritated eyes.
Amma Thérapie makes it in Quebec and offers it in several fabric patterns.
Format: 10 x 3 1/2 x 3/4 in., 230 g. It is one size and fits a head circumference of about 22 in., stretching up to 24 in.
Materials: mask filled with organic pearl barley and a hint of dried lavender. The fabric depends on the pattern: 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton for the sable (sand) pattern, 100% cotton for the Botanique and Géo Floral patterns. For other patterns, check the label.
How to use: for a warm treatment, place the mask on a paper towel and heat it in the microwave for about 20 to 30 seconds, depending on the appliance's power. You can also place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in an oven preheated to 175 °F (about 80 °C) for 10 minutes at most; avoid gas ovens. Shake the grains and test the heat on the inside of your wrist before placing it over your eyes. For a cold treatment, keep it in the freezer in an airtight plastic bag. Do not use the mask on a face wearing makeup or after applying moisturizer. It cannot be washed in water: rub any stains with a damp cloth.
Storage: away from heat and light.
Precautions: for external use only. Do not keep the warm mask on your eyes for more than 5 minutes in a row. Never leave a child under 3 unattended with the mask. Stop using it if irritation occurs. The mask is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Origin: made in Quebec.
