Versatile, this long therapeutic cushion wraps around different parts of the body thanks to its six sections, which keep the grains in place. Warm, it helps release muscle tension; cold, it soothes.
Filled with organic pearl barley, it is suitable for the whole family. Amma Thérapie makes it in Quebec and offers it in several patterns.
Format: 24 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 1 in., 900 g, 6 sections.
Materials: filled with organic pearl barley. The fabric depends on the pattern: 100% cotton for the Folia pattern. For other patterns, check the label.
How to use: for a warm treatment, heat it in the microwave for about 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds, depending on the appliance's power. If it comes straight from the freezer, heat it in 30-second intervals, mixing the grains between each one. You can also heat it in a conventional oven preheated to 175 °F (about 80 °C) for 15 to 20 minutes at most. For a cold treatment, keep it in the freezer in an airtight plastic bag. Then wrap it around the area you want to treat. The cushion cannot be washed in water: wipe the surface with a damp cloth as needed.
Storage: away from heat and light.
Precautions: for external use only. Avoid the eye area. Always test the cushion's temperature on the inside of your wrist before applying it. Do not use a gas oven to heat it. Never leave a child under 3 unattended with the cushion. Stop using it if irritation occurs.
