Gourmet Sauvage puts a new spin on herbes salées (salted herbs), a classic of Quebec cooking, with six wild vegetables and herbs harvested from spring to fall, in the forest and along the seashore. Samphire and Scotch lovage lead the way, and evening primrose adds a slightly spicy note.
They replace salt in your dishes and give them a herbal aroma. Gourmet Sauvage, a company based in Mont-Blanc in the Laurentians, makes them from responsible wild harvesting. They are vegan, gluten-free and GMO-free.
Format: 190 ml.
Ingredients: samphire, sea salt, Scotch lovage, greater burdock, orpine, common evening primrose, Canada garlic.
Serving suggestion: use them instead of salt, adjusting the salt in your recipe: in soups, sauces, marinades and salad dressings, mashed potatoes, meat or fish tartare, a homemade dip or mayonnaise, or as a crust on roast lamb or chicken.
Storage: refrigerate after opening.
Origin: product of Quebec, from Gourmet Sauvage, a company based in Mont-Blanc, in the Laurentians; plants harvested in the forest and along the seashore.
