A blend of smoked spices with a sweet and salty taste, to rub on meat, poultry, fish and vegetables before cooking. It works as a dry rub and also livens up salads and dips.
Les As du Fumoir make it in the Eastern Townships (Estrie) with spices smoked over maple wood in Quebec. Quebec maple sugar makes up 40% of the blend: it comes from Virgin Mady, and the garlic from Le Petit Mas. The blend contains no preservatives, no anti-caking agents and no additives.
Format: 50 g or 120 g.
Ingredients: maple sugar, smoked salt, smoked pepper, paprika, garlic, onion, cinnamon, mustard, cayenne.
Allergens: contains mustard.
Serving suggestion: coat the food with a little olive oil so the spices stick, rub it with the blend and let it rest before cooking. You can also sprinkle it on before or after cooking, or add it to a marinade or brine. Try it on chicken wings, steak, ribs, pulled pork, fish, roasted vegetables, corn, fries and even grilled fruit (pineapple, peach, banana).
Storage: in an airtight container, away from light and moisture.
Origin: made in the Eastern Townships (Estrie).
